2011 Arbor Day Celebration

Tekesta Park Saturday, January 29, 2011 11:00 - 2:00   Agenda of Events   Raising of the flag and pledge.   Dedication of the Celebration Tree.   Please enjoy the refreshments and stroll through the park.   We have face painting and goodies for the children and they can enjoy the playground if you would like to help plant some trees.   Visit our welcome tent to obtain more information about the Arbor Committee, sponsorships and upcoming events.   Visit Jim Cichon and Joe Barnett for examples of non-native plants and some beautiful natives to consider.  Later you can enjoy a short walk around Tekesta for an interactive tour of some plants that grow in our greenspaces.   AFTER THE DEDICATION: if you have an order to pick up please go to the welcome desk and someone will assist you in getting the order to your car.       We would like to thank all of our sponsors for this year's event.  By providing a donation you are helping the Arbor Committee improve our environment one tree at a time.  Click Sponsors for a list of this year's contributors.
